Immigration Legal Services

The Immigrant Rights Defense Center also known as Derechos represents clients in immigration court when they are in removal proceedings, file affirmative applications with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and also represent clients in consular processing.

  • Bond proceedings before the Immigration Court in Louisiana

Appointments & Fees

We provide our services at a low cost. 

New Client Intake Wednesdays
Most people who wish to become clients of Derechos must attend a “New Client Intake.” These appointments occur on Wednesday mornings and afternoons only and have a cost of $20. The appointment is meant to be a short screening to determine whether the attorney can potentially represent you.

1st Mondays
On the first Monday of each month, we begin accepting new client appointments for that month only, on a first-come-first-serve basis. Once the appointments are full for the month, you must wait until the next month to schedule an appointment.

Mexican Consulate Immigration Services

In the year 2000, the Program of Legal Assistance to Mexican Nationals through External Legal Advice in the United States of America PALE was created to answer to the increasing demand for legal advice and representation services by Mexican Nationals in the USA.

The Mexican Consulate in Little Rock, Arkansas has contracted with Latino Memphis' Derechos legal clinic under the PALE program to offer immigration legal services to pre-approved Mexican Nationals who live in our immediate service area.
