Fee Based Services

The following fees are paid to Latino Memphis and don't reflect additional fees that may have to pay in order to process your request.

• Immigration legal services initial consultation: $20
• U.S. passport application: $5
• Birth certificate: $15
  In order to process a birth certificate, you must first purchase a money order to pay for the Tennessee Vital Records fee which is $15 per birth certificate. Once you have the money order, Latino Memphis will be able to help you with the birth certificate process. 
• Power of attorney $25
  If the power of attorney involves a child, both parents or legal guardians of the child must be present (unless there is a special circumstance). It is recommended that the person has chosen to receive the power be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. This person must be present the day of the appointment. Please bring the child's birth certificate and valid identification for all adults in order to notarize the final document. 
• Notary seal: $10
• Travel affidavit with notary seal: $15
  Both parents or legal guardians must be present. Travel documents such as airline or bus tickets detailing travel schedule, destination and who is accompanying the child must be provided. Please bring valid identifications for all people involved in order to fill out an affidavit.

Partner Days 

Latino Memphians can take advantage of a one-stop shop format Monday through Thursday at El Centro. We have partnered with several community organizations to offer a variety of services.

Memphis Area Legal Services (MALS)

An attorney is available to provide free legal consultations for non-criminal matters. MALS provides free legal assistance and representation in civil (non-criminal) matters to eligible clients in Shelby, Fayette, Tipton and Lauderdale counties in Tennessee.  MALS also provides community education and outreach in those counties.

Planned Parenthood Greater Memphis Region

Offers guidance about various family planning methods available in the market. On Mondays, Planned Parenthood provides free confidential HIV testing from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.
