How do I obtain information about a detainee?

If you need information about a detainee housed in this center, you can call 318.992.1600 between 8 am and 5 pm. When checking, please have the person's information on hand, such as first and last names and compound surnames.

How can the detainee make a confidential call with his/her lawyer?

  • Detainees can schedule confidential calls.
  • Detainees must place an order with their case manager to initiate a confidential telephone call with a lawyer. This is done by completing a "detainee request form" or "detainee request form"
  • Detainees can not receive incoming calls. If you need to contact a detained person to leave an urgent message, you should call 318.992.7800 and leave the full name and alien registration number (Alien number or A-number) of the person detained, your name and a phone number where you can receive a call. They will send the message to the detained person.

How should a pantry money account be set up?

A pantry account allows detainees to buy snacks, hygiene items, stamps, pencils, etc. An account can be created in three ways

  • Through money orders issued by U.S. Postal Services (only) sent to the detained person.

If the arrested person receives funds by mail, they will be taken to the processing area so that the money is deposited in their account. The processing officer will provide a receipt for all funds received. The detainees are warned not to receive cash by mail.

How can friends and family visit a detainee?

To ensure the necessary time for the process of visitors through security, all visitors must arrive 45 minutes before the scheduled visit time.

Visitors must submit a verifiable identification issued by the government to enter the facilities. The visits have a limit of 60 minutes. Visits of more than 60 minutes can be allowed with the prior authorization of the warden.

Minors who visit the facilities must be accompanied by an adult guardian (18 years or older). Minors should not be left alone in the waiting room, the visiting room, or any other area.
