On May 3, Latino Memphis will hold the Latino Memphis Festival 2014, including the 4th annual CincoKMayo 5K Race. This fun, family-centered event celebrates Memphis' growing Hispanic community while once again serving as a destination for runners, families and those simply interested in learning more about Latino culture. Proceeds raised will support Latino Memphis and our goal of improving access to healthcare, education and justice within the growing Hispanic community in the Memphis area.
Like last year, the 2014 Festival will feature many popular attractions:
- 5K Race
- Kids' Activities and Fiesta Games
- Family Run/Walk
- Salsa Tasting Contest
- Live Entertainment
- Food Vendors
- And More!
The Festival will also feature a Latino Cultural Showcase that will educate attendees on the diverse cultures in different Latino countries. Attendees will visit booths for each country and learn about that country's culture through informational materials, in-person discussions and arts and crafts. This year's festival will focus on Colombia, while also showcasing other Latino countries such as Venezuela and Mexico.
